NCSE Parents Notify Online Form

Parents Notify: This form is for parents or guardians who are seeking a special class or special school placement for their child for September 2026.

• The NCSE's aim is to assist parents seeking a special class/school placement for their child/young person.
• In the Department of Education Circular 0039/2025 it is noted that parents seeking a special class or special school placement for their child for the coming academic year 2026/27 should make contact with the NCSE by 1st  October 2025.

• If your child seeks a special class placement,  the NCSE has advised schools to direct parents to the following useful link: https://ncse.ie/notify-ncse-special-class-special-school

• The NCSE will not deem a child eligible for enrolment in a special class or school without the relevant 2026/27 eligibility letter.

• Any child already within the mainstream population who has received a recent diagnosis and requires a special class placement must also have a 2026/27 eligibility letter.
