For the past number of weeks, 2nd class have been learning all about Polar Expeditions to the South Pole.
This week they were lucky to take trip to Athy to visit the recently opened Shackleton Experience, showcasing the life of local man Ernest Shackleton and his many efforts to reach Antarctica.
