Amber Flag Initiative:

The Amber Flag is a national initiative that promotes positive mental health and wellbeing in schools across Ireland. It encourages pupils and staff to talk openly about feelings, look after themselves and others, and take part in activities that support happiness and wellbeing.

Through the Amber Flag, our school focuses on building resilience, kindness, and a sense of belonging—helping children develop healthy habits and positive attitudes in a fun, age-appropriate way.

Wellness Wednesday:

As part of our commitment to achieving the Amber flag in 2026 and overall wellbeing for all we hold a Wellness Wednesday where all classes take part in activities that support children’s physical and emotional health. Activities may include mindful walks, simple meditation, yoga, relaxation exercises, or other age-appropriate wellbeing activities.

Wellness Wednesday gives children time to slow down, check in with themselves, and learn positive ways to look after their minds and bodies in a fun and supportive environment.
